DACROMET features

Superior resistance to the saltwater spray test and cyclic corrosion test
The DACROMET coating offers corrosion resistance far exceeding that of traditional surface treatments. Comparing the results of the saltwater spray test (KJIS-Z-2371) and cyclic corrosion test, it delivers significantly better rust resistance than electro-galvanizing with colored chromate treatment (JIS H8610 type 2, class 3), hot-dip galvanizing (JIS H8641 type 2, HDZ35) or Ni-Zn plating. After 2000 hours' saltwater spray testing

Superior resistnce to heat and corrosion
The DACROMET coating excels in its ability to resist heat and corrosion, producing a film that withstands high temperatures for extended periods of time. With an electro-galvanized coating (colored chromate coating), the surface chromate film will fail at approximately 100°C after which the surface properties will alter and corrosion resistance will quickly diminish.

No risk of hydrogen brittleness
Because the coating process uses no acids, no hydrogen gases are generated in the process. Thus, there is nothing to permeate the material and cause delayed fracture.

Effectively prevents galvanic corrosion of aluminum
In an application where stainless bolts are tightened with aluminum members, the use of DACROMET coating on the bolts will effectively prevent galvanic corrosion.

Excellent coating properties
The DACROMET coating solution protects even the inner surfaces of pipes and other components, and it consistently delivers the highest degree of rust resistance. DACROMET is widely used in automobile pipes, including fuel pipes, water pipes, oil-level pipes, intake manifolds and others. After 240 hours' saltwater spray testing

Applicable to a wide range of metals
The materials that can be coated with DACROMET include a wide range of metals such as iron, ferrous alloys, light metals (aluminum, etc.), light metal alloys and various die-cast materials. Sintered metals can also be treated with DACROMET, depending on the processing method used.

No risk of pollution
1. No wastewater production.
2. No controlled toxic substances in the emissions released into air.
